The Soul is the transcendent energy that gives life to body and mind. Unfortunately, the Soul is also an unknown and misunderstood part of man. Deep within is the longing to develop an intuitive relationship with the Soul. Still, most often, it is translated into a desire for a physical relationship with a twin Soul, for possessions in the form of collecting more and more spiritual and religious writings, or for spiritual prestige. Here, the ego’s ambition overshadows the Soul’s longing by the desire for a spiritual or religious degree, title, or leadership.
With its well-defined framework of conscious and unconscious intentions, motives, and goals, the ego often dominates our spiritual journey. It overshadows those parts of our personality that seek the ultimate intimate intuitive contact with the Soul. These more receptive parts are open to the Soul’s intuitions. If we genuinely seek intimate contact with the Soul, then the ego self is a formidable adversary driven by its ambition and dominance.
The ego thinks and acts by choosing between the extreme opposites, ‘good and evil.’ However, what is good or bad is personally determined and depends on society’s prevailing social, cultural, and religious values. The soul has no interest in religion; the ego, on the other hand, does. The frequencies of the ego are within the ‘bandwidth’ of society’s frequencies.
The Soul’s frequency is outside the world’s frequency bandwidth.
As you descend deeper into yourself, you travel from the individual to the semi-collective level of consciousness. In the semi-collective layer, there are aspects that you share with several people; in this field, you feel understood and accepted. You resonate with each other; you are on the same frequency, yet still within the esoteric and religious frequency bandwidths of society and the world and, therefore, not of the Soul. Any resonance here has nothing to do with the Soul, but it can feel that way here; you feel safe and loved.
The semi-collective level of consciousness is often unconscious, making it more mystical! However, this deep field is still part of the ego, the personality, and profound spiritual and religious identity.
Wu Wei
The Soul is not interested in spirituality, religion, or the choice between good and evil. Spiritual and intuitive development can lead to awareness of the Soul’s transcendence.
There comes a moment of profound self-awareness for the ego when it unmasks its Soul Essence overshadowing mechanisms, and the Soul’s Longing is intuitively perceived and understood. The conscious ego can then choose to be receptive to the Soul’s intuitions and keep the ego self in the observer. This is the art of Wu Wei, the art of acting from intuition in a state of self-forgetfulness, where the ego’s role is that of a detached observer. In this state, Wu Wei’s background acts without ambition-driven intention.
